Enjoy your days sunbathing on the stone deck, swimming in the 60-foot private pool, or just taking in the view from the lanai; everyone’s favorite pastime. A spacious and elegant lawn complete with palm trees and landscaped gardens provides ample room for outdoor activities. You are free to be yourself on 12 acres of privacy! In the evening, there’s the nightly viewing of the “only in Hawaii” sunset followed by stargazing from the hot tub. While soaking, look for the North Star, Hoku Pa’a (the Hawaiian name for this home) between the grill and the small palm tree. Hoku Pa’a was the most important navigational star for the early Hawaiian explorers. Allow Hale Hoku Pa’a to help you find your way. Hale Hoku Pa’a’s spacious and open layout encourages airflow, movement and conversation. The great room features the quintessential Hawaiian architecture, a 42-foot retractable patio sliding glass door opens onto the lanai for a seamless transition from indoor to outdoor living. The living room has a comfy, semi-circular couch from which you can watch your favorite movies, sports and shows on the 75-inch flat screen TV complete with surround sound and digital cable. The entertainment center includes a DVD player, iPod and phone plug-in for your music, Wi-Fi access throughout the house and a large collection of movies, games and books. The lanai provides an additional TV for those who would like to watch their favorite game or movie while still taking in the amazing view! And, for music lovers, the lanai also has outdoor speakers.
Designed for flexible use, this home is ideal for couples, groups of friends and multi-generational families. The house has 5 bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms. Each bedroom incorporates a unique Hawaiian theme, air conditioning, 100% combed Prima cotton sheets, hypoallergenic-down alternative pillows and comforters, hook-ups for portable devices to the TV’s, walk-in showers, Micro Cotton towels and hair dryers. With a total of 5 bedrooms, this home is comfortable for 10 adults with plenty of room for additional smaller children! A portable crib is also available onsite.
• The master suite is Astronomy themed, features a king bed, an en suite bathroom, a separate lanai with a Koi pond, a walk-in closet and a 65” flat screen Smart TV with digital cable and surround sound.
• The second master bedroom is Koi themed, includes a king bed, an en suite bathroom, a separate lanai with a Koi pond, a generous closet and a flat screen Smart TV with cable.
• The Plumeria room boasts a king bed, an en suite bathroom, a generous closet and a flat screen Smart TV with cable.
• The Surf room offers two twin extra-long beds that can be converted into a king bed, an en suite bathroom, a generous closet and a flat screen Smart TV with cable.
• The Outrigger room includes 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a kitchenette and living room. The bedroom is Outrigger themed and comes with a king bed, an en suite bathroom and walk-in closet. The living room has a 55” Smart TV, cable and surround sound. The kitchenette has a mini-frig, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and dinnerware.
Foodies and chefs will enjoy a fully stocked, open-plan, gourmet kitchen. The kitchen comes complete with a Viking refrigerator, a Viking microwave, a six burner Viking professional gas range with a double oven and a walk-in pantry. For the bartenders, the Kitchen Aid ice maker and a Vitamix blender will make your morning smoothies as well as your afternoon Pina Coladas. For the outdoor chef, a 3 burner Weber barbeque grill complete with sear station awaits. There’s a generous supply of dinnerware and service items, including entertainment platters, place mats, cloth napkins, Melamine dishes for poolside dining, glassware and acrylic glassware for poolside beverages.
At mealtime, your family and friends can gather around the locally-handcrafted Hawaiian Monkeypod wood table (seats 10), while gazing at the nearby outdoor Koi pond. Alternatively, you can dine on the lanai on the beautiful, custom-made Mango wood table with seating for eight. There is additional seating for five at the bar.
When you don’t feel much like cooking, take a scenic 15-20 minute drive to some of the finest restaurants on the island.
Some of the architectural features of this home include vaulted wood ceilings, travertine floors, granite countertops, artistic vessel sinks, and custom cherry and koa cabinetry. This home is beautifully appointed with custom furniture and artwork crafted by local artist Mathew D’Avella from a variety of Hawaiian woods including teak, mango, monkeypod, jacaranda, mahogany, ohia and many more. A unique art collection completes this estate with onyx pillars, metal marine art, custom photography prints on metal, metal sculpture art and custom canvas prints.
